No display or no power
Shorted power rails, damaged VRM stages, firmware faults, connector damage and failed components are considered after safe bench checks.
MRC · Board-level graphics repair
Start with a free intake assessment so MRC can decide whether to accept your standalone desktop GPU. If accepted, we perform a proper diagnostic and provide a quote before any repair work begins.
01 / Faults
For an accepted repair, we diagnose the actual card and confirm the fault before quoting repair work.
Shorted power rails, damaged VRM stages, firmware faults, connector damage and failed components are considered after safe bench checks.
Visual corruption, driver crashes and load failures may involve VRAM, the GPU, power delivery, firmware, cooling or the host system.
Fan, thermal-interface, corrosion, trace and HDMI or DisplayPort damage can be assessed when parts and test access are available.
02 / Board-level scope
We consider supported NVIDIA GeForce and AMD Radeon desktop cards, including some workstation models. Intel graphics cards are normally not accepted. Support depends on the exact model, condition, donor or new-part availability and safe test access.
03 / Process
Send the manufacturer, model, symptoms and all prior repair or mining history so we can decide whether to accept the job.
If the card fits our scope, we send drop-off or shipping instructions. Do not send it before acceptance.
After the accepted card arrives, we perform a proper diagnostic and provide a quote. No repair work begins without your approval.
After quote approval, we perform the agreed repair, test the card as the hardware allows and arrange its return.
04 / GPU Certification
GPU Certification helps validate marketplace and other aftermarket purchases. For $50 CAD plus tax, we compare an accepted used desktop card with its listing and expected reference configuration and record factual observations about its identifiers, model, memory, required chip population, board, cooler and other required assemblies. This can reveal missing, substituted or changed chips and other discrepancies used in deceptive online sales. We also attempt to boot the card on the shop testing rig. The certification states only facts observed on the inspected card; it does not state that the card meets OEM standards and cannot determine seller intent, ownership or make a legal finding of fraud.
05 / Start a repair
Send enough detail for us to decide whether to accept the job. This intake assessment is not the repair diagnostic. If accepted, we send instructions; after the card arrives, we diagnose it and provide a quote before repair work begins.
